THE CHALLENGE

BRT had a genuinely differentiated offering: a smart, considered business model and a deeply relational, director-led way of working. But it had never been captured for the purpose of communications. The team could articulate what made them different in conversation. On paper, it was another story. The depth of thinking behind their work wasn't reflected in their proposals or collateral, and they lacked consistent messaging and a capability statement that demonstrated their value and expertise across their key sectors.

HOW WE HELPED

We worked closely with the BRT team to surface what made them different, drawing out the passion and business logic already embedded in how they operate. From a strategy review process, we developed their core brand messaging and tone of voice guidelines, then carried this through into practice, capturing their projects as engaging case studies, refreshing their capability materials, and articulating their sector-specific expertise and the capability of their leadership team.

We developed BRT's core brand messaging, articulating their purpose ("we're not in the engineering game, we're in the people game"), their distinctive, integrated, director-led process, and the services that bring it to life. We translated this into polished 400-word and 100-word pitch statements ready to use across proposals, capability statements and their website.

We crafted capability statement copy from detailed interviews with each of the Directors, translating their stories and insights into concise expertise and approach statements, 250-word project descriptions, 450-word project case studies, and personality-rich bios, written for a broad audience and maximum adaptability.

We consolidated and evolved BRT’s existing brand language into a capability statement template that reflects the clarity of communication, attention to detail, and professionalism they demonstrate in their work. A document that captures where they are now, and can grow with them as their expertise and experience continue to develop.

OUTCOME

BRT Consulting now has the messaging and collateral to match both the calibre of their work and the quality of their reputation.
